Braver Angels and Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church will co-host a community discussion where everyone in the room will be encouraged to share their views and ask questions of others that address the phrase: “The upcoming election threatens our Republic."

While the discussion will take the form of a debate, there will be no "winner;" instead, the greatest indicator of success will be the extent to which all participants feel they learned about each others' views. Personal statements from all participants will be encouraged, so that everyone may better understand what life events formed each speaker’s views. And the debate’s special parliamentary format will encourage everyone to speak or ask questions, but only through the debate chair, to encourage civility. Seating is limited.
