Divine Disruption: Making New Ways to Jesus Eucharist and Panel Discussion – All are Welcome!

We are delighted for this opportunity to pray, learn, and be together on Saturday, November 4, 2023, and to welcome guest preacher the Rev. Nandra Perry! This service follows the 221st Annual Diocesan Convention, which will be held online on Friday, November 3. 

The Rev. Dr. Nandra Perry joined the Seminary of the Southwest’s staff and faculty as Director of the Iona Collaborative on June 1, 2020. Perry also serves as Vicar of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Hearne, Texas. She is a graduate of the Iona School for Ministry in the Diocese of Texas and was ordained to the priesthood in 2017. Perry received her Ph.D. in Renaissance Literature and Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Among her many published works is Imitatio Christi: The Poetics of Piety in Early Modern England (Notre Dame: University of Notre Dame Press, 2014). Prior to the seminary, Perry was at Texas A&M University where she was an Associate Professor in the Department of English and a faculty affiliate in Religious Studies. 

SCHEDULE: 

·        8 – 9:15 am: Coffee and light breakfast items available in the Parish Hall 

·        9:30 – 11 am: Eucharist, with Bishop Rob presiding and the Rev. Nandra Perry preaching, music provided by Trinity Church musicians and a combined Western Convocation festival choir.

·        11 am: Break 

·        11:15 am – 12 pm: Discussion Panel with Bishop Rob
