Education
Education for Ministry (EFM) is a four-year course of study that prepares
lay people for the life of ministry that is theirs by grace of baptism.
EFM is an extension program of the Episcopal School of Theology of the
University of the South in Sewanee Tennessee; it offers the core curriculum
of seminary studies in scripture, church history, and theology in conjunction
with techniques of theological reflectionÐall in the context of small
group fellowship and worship. EFM groups are led by mentors trained and
certified by Sewanee, and members of the group are actively involved
in its leadership.
