Diocesan CommunicationsNew Hampshire Episcopal News
New Hampshire Episcopal News is the award-winning diocesan monthly newspaper, published 10 times a year. NHEN wraps around Episcopal Life, the newspaper of the wider church, and is sent to every Episcopal household in New Hampshire. The mission of the diocesan newspaper is to gather and communicate news of interest to the Episcopal community in New Hampshire, with the goal of building community throughout the diocese and beyond. NHEN knits the diocese together by collecting and telling the stories of the congregations across New Hampshire -- how they are living out the Gospel in their communities. NHEN also fulfills a broad function of informing its subscribers about important issues and pressing concerns, for example, the process involved in the search for a new bishop, and the diocese's continuing efforts to train every church person in the prevention of sexual abuse and harassment. Through its distribution to other dioceses across the United States and to our companions in Canada and Ireland, NHEN also serves as a window through which the wider church can view the New Hampshire diocese. Cate McMahon is editor of New Hampshire Episcopal News. |
